April 22, 2015 is the 45th anniversary of Earth Day. Traditionally most people plant trees on this day, but we thought we would make a fun project that anyone can do – even your children. Our inspiration came from “Kids Chia Pet” at beautifulhomeandgardendiy.com
We used a 2-liter bottle for the “adult” and a 16-oz. bottle for the “child”. We also used grass seed instead of chia seed to make it more affordable. If you come into the library during the week of April 20-25 and bring your own empty bottle, we will have the supplies for you to make your own Earth Day pet.
