We hope you are all healthy and well. We miss you and look forward to seeing you in the not too distant future.  Until that time, here is an update on what is happening with the Library and the TDL Team.Quick reminders:

  • We do have wifi in our parking lot for those that need to sign up for unemployment, or have other needs. We have been asked to remind you to Please stay in your cars or 6 feet away from people per the executive order 2020-42.  We need everyone to be safe. Sadly, if these rules are not followed, we will be forced by EO to shut the wifi off. Thank you for again for understanding.
  • Library materials are not due back until after we are given the all clear to reopen the Library to the public.
  • if you were unable to get your hold before we closed, the holds will be waiting for you when we reopen.
  •  There is still no delivery from other Libraries.
  •  The Library staff are not working at the Library.  However, we do have staff members checking in on the Library and we are working from our homes.

The fun stuff:

  • You may have seen some of our virtual programming, such as our virtual Story Times and crafts for children.  We are working on other possibilities too.  Next week is National Library Week and we have all sorts of virtual library spirit week fun planned.  Check it out.  Also, Jeanne has a video for you on how to make a daisy mobile.  It is too cute.   Robin is also busy with a special story time and an earth day craft.  We are also working on some other special surprises too.  So please stay tuned to our Facebook page and website.
  • We are still updating our website with more resources for fun, learning, and helpful information. So continue to check it out!
  • Our Seed Library opens today!  Check it out on our website.  Fill out the form, choose three packets of seeds, and we will mail them to you.  Our quantities are limited, and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity for at least some seeds.  Please request only 3 packets of seeds per address.  Thank you for understanding.
  • Shelf Life Book Club has gone virtual.  Let us know via email or Facebook messenger if you would like to join us Thursday, April 23rd at 5 pm.  The group has no set book this month and will be discussing any book you have read recently.
  • Join us for Paws for Reading next week.  Read to your pet and send us the picture.  You could win a gift card!  Email us at info@tamaracklibrary.org or via Facebook messenger.
  • Do you have any questions for us? Email us at info@tamaracklibrary.org or via Facebook messenger.

Take care of yourselves. We do not want anyone missing when we are able to get back together.  So please stay home and stay safe. The Team TDL
