Executive Order 2020-100 extended the stay at home and prevents the Library from opening at this time. When we are allowed to open, we will open in phases. See below.
Phase 1-
• 1 person in the building at a time.
• Checking in books, getting mail/packages, and shelving.
• Virtual programming.
Phase 2-
• Release of stay at home for libraries.
• Staff resume working in the library on a condensed schedule.
• 10-6 daily and closed on Saturday’s.
• Wearing masks. Gloves if you wish, use hand sanitizer often with the gloves. If not wash your hands often to limit cross contamination.
• Following the CDC, OSHA, and Montcalm Health Department guidelines.
• Sneeze guards are installed.
• Social distancing will be observed at all times.
Phase 3-
• Curbside pickup begins.
• Open only 12:30-5:30.
• Appointments issued for pick-up, if possible.
• Email, call, or Facebook messenger ahead of time so staff can pull orders not put on hold.
• Faxing and copying will begin curbside.
• Items will be bagged. Either taken to the patron by passing the items through their car window or dropped outside the Library door.
• Social distancing will be observed at all times.
Phase 4- Library is open to patrons with limited access.
• We request that face masks are worn to enter the Library.
• Books, movies, and other select materials will be available, etc.
• No computers.
• Returned materials will be quarantined for 72 hours.
• Materials will then be cleaned and shelved.
• No kid’s toys or kits available at this time.
• If needed, limited patrons allowed in the stacks.
• Restrooms will need to be cleaned after use by patrons.
• No meeting rooms available at this time.
• If needed, we may need to limit time that patrons are in the Library.
• Social distancing will be observed at all times.
Phase 5 –
• More patrons allowed in the Library at a time.
• Computer access available.
• Use of computer 1, 3, and 5 only – tri-folds will be used to on these computers.
• Press n seal will be used on computer keyboards and removed after each patron.
• All services areas will be cleaned after patron use.
• Virtual programming continues.
• Some outdoor programming may begin – limited and a ticket must be “purchased”.
• Social Distancing will be observed at all times.
