On May 10th, 2015, a contingent of Saginaw Valley State University faculty and students traveled to the earthquake ravaged country of Nepal to help in the relief effort. After witnessing Nepal’s second major earthquake within 4 weeks, the team went on to provide medical services in four Kathmandu communities.
Rene Hernandez, a native of Lakeview, was the lead medical clinician on the team and will be here at the library to detail the experiences, triumphs, and challenges that the team encountered on their journey.
Join us in the Tamarack Room at the library on June 20, 2015 (Saturday) @ 1:00 PM.
